We came with the boat and we were lucky. As you previously read, the day did not quite go as we had imagined.
Well, now we left the Mandraki harbor behind us and went out to Kalithea to anchor with the boat towards a pontoon that the organizer uses to take on and off the diving equipment.
Very clear water and perfect conditions and there was some lovely wind over the sea, so we did not get fried to death on the boat. We ended up in group eight with two Norwegian people and 11:40 it was time for our first table setting.
There are a lot of equipment that you have to wear to dive. But it didn’t take too long before it was in place and we practiced breathing through the regulator. After five minutes and without drinking seawater, we set out on our first dive and we were photographed and the pictures we also got on a usb stick (and they we post later also).
We dived down to about 5 meters first dive and I myself did not see so much then, because you have a bit of a tunnel sense one might say. But it is clear that you found some sea animals of different kinds!
The second dive was at 14:20 with our group no. 4 and we dived slightly deeper this time. This time we had to bring our own camera, so our GoPro came along! The film is so far on our camera and not downloaded, but we post it on Youtube with linking to our blog here!
The coolest thing about the second dive is that you can see so much more. You are not as concentrated on breathing right or evening the pressure in your ears, but you can see much more under the surface!
Much worth doing two rounds!
Then there was a little snorkeling in the end and then I captured pictures of a starfish, octopus and sea urchin! I must say very cool.
In conclusion, we ate five-course again and took us (or more precisely myself) two glasses of wine on the veranda. What a successful day 😀
