Day 7 – Excursion to the city of Rhodes

How did we think that we go on the hottest day into Rhodes town and walk around? Well, you can wonder.

We took a taxi around lunchtime to head towards Rhodes. We went up to Rhodes Acropolis where we thought could see the whole city and more, but it was a bit disappointing. The Acropolis itself was in a scaffolding and you could not directly see that long as expected.

So we checked out the theater, which is located at the Acropolis, and then moved us towards the town.

We headed towards the old town and walked inside the city wall through all the streets. Small shops along the houses were what sold various different things and there we wandered around (not as bad as in Lindos) but eventually found out to Mandraki harbor.

From there we took and walked up to the newer district and found a place to eat some food. The feeling of finding a place that has an AC is indescribable in this heat!

Then we took a walk around the harbor and through the party area of Rhodes town, until we finally gave up and took a taxi back to the hotel.

Now it will be to rest up in the room where the air conditioner is going full speed and then there will be some swimming in the pool and so, before we later go check our the sunset and eat good food!
