The alarm clock rang early today and we took a quick breakfast and then it was time to go to the pick-up point where the bus picked us up to get to the port of Rhodes.
When we got there, we had to wait a good hour for the boat King Saron to take us out to sea.
Symi is one of the most picturesque and scenic islands in the Dodecanese. Most people who live here work with fish, spices, sponges or any kind of trade. Symi was so cozy!
We had lunch at the harbor and then we had time to walk around the city and look at the pastel-colored houses. Hanna even took a dip in the ocean and stupid me (who forgot the pants) enjoyed myself with a cold beer on the beach.
After the dip, we walked around the small village again all the small streets and bought us red and yellow saffron, etc. Even a sponge, while we had the wallet up 😛
At the end we took a big tasty ice-cream!
After the tour with our Norwegian guide, we took the boat to Panormitis, where there is a monastery from the 18th century. Very nice place and a little in the middle of nowhere.
Just about an hour there and then it was almost time to go down the boat to go back to Rhodes.
Now we’ll go to eat a five-course menu .. we’ll be hearing tomorrow!
